The Jewish Community Center Sonoma County (JCC So Co) serves the diverse Jewish population – and beyond - by offering programs to bring the community together in cultural, educational, spiritual, social and recreational activities. JCC So Co is a “Jewish Community Center Without Walls” dedicated to building a vibrant, better educated, more active, more inclusive and more committed Jewish community in Sonoma County. We are proud of our quality programs for seniors (Friendship Circle) and youth (Camp Chai and Chaverim), and our film series (Jewish and Israeli Film Festivals). In response to the current need to curtail in-person events, we launched the popular Virtual Daily, a source for film, food culture and Jewish life.

Our current Executive Director has announced her plan to enjoy retirement by the end of June 2021. We are currently seeking a new dynamic leader with a strong commitment to Jewish community and culture, to oversee the operation and head the expansion of our funding and programs.

JCCSC currently has 6 paid staff: 5 non-exempt, part-time employees reporting directly to the Executive Director, an exempt, full-time manager reporting to the Board of Directors. We also enjoy the services of dozens of volunteers.

Our ideal candidate is someone involved in the Jewish community with experience as a leader in a non-profit organization, who is comfortable working with internal and external partners of diverse backgrounds, and who has demonstrated abilities in fundraising, program development, financial management, collaboration, grant writing, volunteer management and team building.
